A compact water-heating option
Wall-mounted models can free floor space, while still needing access for venting, connections and future maintenance.
WATER HEATER INSTALLATION · ALL BRANDS
M.J. Sunshine installs tankless water heaters from all brands across Greater Vancouver. Plan a new on-demand system, replace an existing unit or discuss converting from a storage tank with a review of your household demand and installation conditions.
UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS
A tankless water heater heats water as it flows through the unit, rather than keeping a tank of water hot. Its available flow depends on the model and the temperature rise required. A well-matched installation considers the fixtures you use together, the incoming water temperature and the pipework to your taps.
Wall-mounted models can free floor space, while still needing access for venting, connections and future maintenance.
Showers, kitchen use and laundry may overlap. Review simultaneous hot-water demand instead of choosing by household size alone.
A tank-to-tankless conversion may involve changes to gas supply, power, venting, drainage and water connections.
INSTALLATION FOR YOUR CHOSEN BRAND
M.J. Sunshine installs water heaters from all brands. These are familiar examples; other brands are welcome too. Send the full model so its installation requirements can be reviewed.
The selected model must suit the property’s energy supply and installation conditions. Brand names identify equipment options.

Consider the equipment, supporting work and everyday use together. On a small screen, scroll the table sideways.
| Your starting point | What to review | What to include in the plan |
|---|---|---|
| Replacing a storage tank | Peak hot-water use, available space and the existing fuel supply. | Equipment sizing, supply capacity, venting, drainage, connections and old-tank removal. |
| Replacing an existing tankless unit | The complete model, current performance and existing installation. | Compatibility of connections, venting, controls and any recirculation setup. |
| Considering a different fuel or layout | Energy supply, unit location and the route to frequently used fixtures. | Required electrical or gas work, access, pipe routes and the full installation scope. |
BEFORE INSTALLATION
The plan should match the exact model and property. Review the work, components and arrangements before confirming the quote and installation date.
Discuss the installation scopeINSTALLATION QUESTIONS
Yes. M.J. Sunshine provides installation for all brands across Greater Vancouver. Send the full brand and model so we can review the equipment, required components and site conditions.
A conversion can be assessed. The review includes hot-water demand, supply capacity, venting, power, drainage and installation space. The work is not always a direct swap.
On-demand heating does not remove the cold water already in the pipes. Waiting time depends on the plumbing layout; a compatible recirculation arrangement can be discussed.
Consider the fixtures likely to run together and the temperature rise from incoming water to the desired outlet temperature. Check the selected model’s flow at those conditions.
The model, supply and venting work, drainage, water connections, access, removal and required permits or inspections can affect the scope. Ask for a quote that states what is included.
Share the complete model and whether the unit is already purchased before booking. Installation compatibility, required parts and manufacturer warranty conditions can then be reviewed.
Follow the model’s instructions for inspection, filter checks and flushing or descaling. The appropriate schedule depends on the equipment, water quality and use.
